Automatic High Beam Activation

Better vision – automatically! Your vehicle has automatic headlights and a front camera (for traffic sign recognition and/or lane assist), but no automatic high beam yet? We'll simply activate this helpful feature for you. How it works: the windshield camera detects vehicles ahead and oncoming traffic, while the automatic light sensor measures ambient brightness. When it's dark enough and no vehicle is detected, the system automatically switches from low to high beam – as long as the traffic situation allows. You only need to activate the option in the on-board computer (or on the SYNC 3 screen, depending on the vehicle) and use the automatic light setting. You can override or disable the system anytime via the lever behind the steering wheel. Activation requires a compatible camera module in the windshield. The location will clarify this with you when scheduling, if needed. If no compatible camera is present, there are no costs for you. Some locations can offer a replacement with a compatible camera model on request.
